Zachary and Daniel built upon the land granted to their father, Lieut. Zachary Damon in 1676.  The homestead of Daniel Damon has remained in the possession of his descendants until the present time (which is now undetermined).  Some think the original house still stands on the site.  It is now occupied by Earl Richardson, a direct descendant of Lieut. Zachary Damon.  The mother of the present occupant wrote to me that she had hear it said that the original house was destroyed by fire during the Indian troubles, the cow was stabled in the back of the house for safety.
